James has over 8 years of in-house corporate finance and investor relations experience in the energy industry, following 6 years as an energy banker.

As Head of Capital Markets & ESG at a listed UK energy company, he led both equity and debt capital raises and built from scratch a broad register of institutional investors.

Prior to his banking and industry roles, James was a City-based specialist advisor on business risks and opportunities in the Middle East & North Africa region. This followed 2 years based in Jordan as a speechwriter to the former Crown Prince, El-Hassan bin Talal.

He holds an MBA from London Business School, a Master’s and PhD from London University and a first-class degree from Oxford University.

His interests include reading about energy and finance, learning languages (Spanish and Arabic), running and mountaineering. He is also Co-Founder of Coillemore House, a luxury holiday accommodation venture in the Scottish Highlands.
